VICTORIA HOLDSWORTH

Victoria is a specialist consultant in international media, diplomatic support, and cross-cultural communications. She has extensive experience organising high profile press conferences, events and meetings across a range of sectors, including trade, political and cultural.

Victoria is an experienced journalist with strong writing and editorial skills and has excellent contacts with journalists from around the world. She was formerly Programme Director of the Foreign Press Association and a London correspondent for a major South African media group. She has provided services to a UN agency, a major European Embassy, Amnesty International, the European Commission, a risk management company and the Foreign Press Association.

In January 2006, Victoria was a member of the Grand Jury for the European Commission's Lorenzo Natali Prize for human rights journalism.

CHERILYN IRETON

Cherilyn is a business, media and communications consultant with specialist knowledge of business in Africa, multi-cultural management and the use of strategic environmental assessment as a tool to manage aid.

Cherilyn is an MBA qualified financial journalist, publisher and manager, having spent two decades working for South Africa’s leading newspapers. She is a former London-based foreign correspondent for the Sunday Times and has a indepth knowledge of the political, social and economic issues facing developing societies.

She has excellent business, media and government contacts throughout Africa and is a former Chief Operating Officer of BDFM Publishers, South Africa’s leading business media group. She has strong writing, editing and analytical skills and first hand knowledge of web, mobile and broadcast media.

She has consulted on post MBA executive education and recently worked with members of the OECD’s environmental task team on the development of Strategic Environmental Assessment as an approach to harmonise aid efforts.
